TEACH.org, Inc. (“TEACH”, “TEACH.org”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates and manages http://www.teach.org (“Website”). This Privacy Policy describes, among other things, the types of information we collect, how we use it, and how we share the information.  Any terms not defined in this Privacy Policy are defined in our Terms of Use (“Terms”).

INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND HOW WE USE IT

Personal Information:

We use the term “Personal Information” to refer to any information you provide in connection with your use of our Website by which you can be personally identified. Personal Information may include such things as your email address, telephone number and any other information which might reasonably be used to identify you.

We obtain Personal Information from you when you submit it to us.  We may use your Personal Information to register or subscribe you for certain features, functions, services, activities, games, promotions and content on our Website (these are referred to as “Content” in our Terms).  You may also email us with a question or for more information and we will use your contact information (which includes Personal Information such as an email address) to respond to your question or request.

If you provide or submit your Personal Information to our Website, we will give you the right to review, update and/or delete your Personal Information, subject to our obligations to comply with legal, regulatory, internal audit, and record-keeping requirements.  We may also use your Personal Information to notify you of updates, promotional offers, or important information about our Website and services.

As part of an SMS/text message service that we provide in connection with a particular campaign or service, we may collect your cell phone number, your carrier’s name, and the date, time and content of your messages, as well as other information that you provide. You will not receive SMS/text messages from us unless you expressly opt in to the service by sending JOIN, or another specific keyword provided in connection with the campaign or service, to the telephone number associated with the campaign or service. We may use the information we collect as part of this service to contact you and to provide the services you request from us.  We may use an automatic dialing system to deliver text messages to you.  By giving us your permission to enroll you in the service, you approve the use of an automatic dialing system to deliver text messages to you and agree that you are responsible for any charges from your carrier for SMS/text messages or data usage.  Our SMS/text message service supports AT&T; Verizon Wireless; Sprint; T-Mobile; and Metro PCS, and may support other carriers.  Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. To stop receiving text messages, reply to any SMS/text message with STOP. You will receive an SMS/text message confirming that you have been unsubscribed.  To obtain more information, reply to any SMS/text message with HELP.

    • The "Google Signals" service may also be used as an extension of Google Analytics 4 on the Website. With Google Signals, cross-device reports can be created by Google (so-called "cross-device tracking"). If you have activated "personalized ads" in your Google account settings and you have linked your internet-enabled devices to your Google account, Google can analyze user behavior across devices and create database models based on this, provided you have given your consent to the use of Google Analytics. The logins and device types of all page visitors who were logged into a Google account and performed a conversion are taken into account. The data shows, among other things, on which device you first clicked on an ad and on which device the associated conversion took place. In so far as Google Signals is used, we do not receive any personal data from Google, but only statistics compiled on the basis of Google Signals.   • Marketing cookies. Facilitates targeted digital marketing efforts by establishing connections with individuals interested in TEACH’s Website. TEACH does not use cookies to display third-party ads on the Website.

DISCLOSURE TO THIRD PARTIES

Our policy is to not sell, rent, lease, provide or otherwise disclose your Personal Information to unaffiliated entities unless otherwise described in this Privacy Policy. Notwithstanding the foregoing, we may disclose your Personal Information to nonprofit or government partners of Teach.org, subject to a written requirement that the Personal Information may be used only for the purpose of providing you with resources and opportunities related to exploring and entering the teaching profession.  We may also disclose your Personal Information to any Third Party we engage for the purpose of supporting TEACH with our own internal administering, marketing, operating, configuring site design, maintaining and providing internal support for our Website and Content. These Third Parties are called “operational service providers,” and they provide internal support to operations and activities and/or for Site design, development, hosting, marketing, and operations. We will never sell or give away personal information to other entities for purposes outside of TEACH's mission and operations. Finally, we may disclose Personal Information to certain partner organizations for the sole purpose of improving the accuracy of contact information, subject to a written requirement that those partner organizations may not use such Personal Information to contact you for any purpose.

We also reserve the right to make your Personal Information available:

  • When we are compelled by a governmental agency, law, regulation, a court or other legal process;
  • If we believe you are, have or may violate or in order to enforce any law, regulation, our Terms;
  • If we believe you are or may be a threat to the safety,property, interests or rights of us or others;

You should also be aware we are a nonprofit organization and simply because a website or web page includes our logo, name or otherwise refers to us, does not mean the website or web page is ours or under our control.  We work with sponsors, advertisers, government agencies, and other Third Parties to bring you public service advertising and if you enter, provide or submit Personal Information on or to a co-branded website or webpage you may be subject to the terms, conditions and privacy policies of the Third Party sponsor, advertiser, government agency or co-branding organization.

SECURITY

We maintain reasonable standards of security and confidentiality. We also try to limit information access to individuals who need to have such access to perform their responsibilities associated with our Website and the Content. While we strive to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee the security of your Personal Information and your communications when using our Website.

YOUR CHOICES

In general, we provide you with the ability to correct or update your Personal Information. In some instances, some Personal Information may not be changed or deleted by you and requires you to contact us for verification (e.g., email address). In general, we offer you the ability to opt out of receiving commercial emails and other commercial communications from us in the future. Our Website and/or email communications will provide you with instructions and the procedures you can use to opt out when applicable.

  • You can request access to, correction of, updates to, or request deletion of your personal information based on information collected from accessing our Website or participating in our web seminars, forums or events.
  • You can request more information about how we process your personal information, where and how we collected that information, the categories of that information, with whom we share it, and how long we retain it.
  • You can object to the processing of your personal information, ask us to restrict the processing, or request portability of your personal information.
  • You have the right to opt out of marketing communications we send at any time. You can opt out by clicking on the “unsubscribe” or “opt-out” link in any marketing email we send you.
  • When we have collected and processed your personal information based upon your consent, then you can withdraw your consent at any time. However, withdrawing your consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing we conducted before your withdrawal, nor will it affect processing of your personal information when we have relied on other legal grounds for the processing.
  • Upon your request, and where it is technically feasible, TEACH will provide you with a copy of your personal information or transmit it directly to another controller.

Provide full details relating to your request, including your contact information and any other details you believe are relevant. We are committed to responding to requests to exercise data subject rights in accordance with applicable laws.

IDENTIFY VERIFICATION REQUIREMENT

The law may require us to verify that any request submitted was made by someone with the legal right to access the information. Therefore, before accessing or divulging any information pursuant to a data access request, we may request that you provide us with additional information so we can verify your identity and legal authority, particularly where the information provided with the request is insufficient to confirm legal authority and/or identity. We will provide a response to an access request within the timeframes required by law. If we cannot substantively respond in a timely manner, we will notify you and provide the reason for the delay. Under certain circumstances, we may not fulfill your request, such as when doing so would interfere with our regulatory or legal obligations, when we cannot verify your identity, if your request involves disproportionate cost or effort, or when the law allows us to retain that information. But we will respond to your request within a reasonable time, as required by law, and provide an explanation.

YOUR CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS

California law permits our customers who are California residents to request and obtain from us information about the personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes in the preceding calendar year. If applicable, this information would include a list of the categories of personal information that was shared and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared information in the immediately preceding twelve calendar months.  At this time, we do not disclose your personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes so this requirement does not apply to us.

CHILDREN

You may not submit your personal information unless you are at least 13 years old.  Children under the age of 13 that have registered with this Website are in violation of our Terms.  If you believe that your child under the age of 13 has provided his or her personal information to us, please notify us immediately by contacting us at .  You may be required to provide verifiable identification that you are the child’s parent or legal guardian.

CHANGES TO PRIVACY POLICY

We may edit, amend, modify and update our Privacy Policy at any time by posting updated text on or links to our Website.

When we make material changes to our Privacy Policy, we will notify you by posting a notice on our Website.  We display the Effective Date at the top of our Privacy Policy so that you will know when there has been a change.  Your continued use of our Website after any such changes constitutes your acceptance to the modified terms and conditions set forth herein.
