Hear from Ann Truong about the collaboration and family that defines Uplift Education.
People are going to discourage you from being in this profession. It takes a lot of grit and dedication to make it. You just need to be passionate knowing that these are children that you are working with and they’ll thrive off of the energy you put into it.
I was 16 when I decided to teach. I chose to be a teacher because I wanted to provide scholars with the skills necessary to be successful in life and wanted to provide them with a love for learning. When I was young, I dreaded school until I realized that education opens so many doors for the future. In college, I received scholarships, but also worked three part-time jobs to afford my degree and have the opportunity to travel. I believe it was 100% worth it in the end.
“I am proud of the work we do day in and day out. Even though the results are not always immediate, you can see the difference you are making in your scholars’ lives.”
