Why I Teach
I was 16 when I decided to teach. I chose to be a teacher because I wanted to provide scholars with the skills necessary to be successful in life and wanted to provide them with a love for learning. When I was young, I dreaded school until I realized that education opens so many doors for the future. In college, I received scholarships, but also worked three part-time jobs to afford my degree and have the opportunity to travel. I believe it was 100% worth it in the end.
